TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to OCG Detailing. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to our website (the “Site”), consultations, and all automotive detailing, paint protection film (PPF), vinyl wrap, ceramic coating, and finishing services operated by OCG Detailing (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
By booking an appointment, authorizing a service estimate, leaving your vehicle at our facility, or using our Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS, PREPAID PACKAGES & VEHICLE STORAGE
• Service Deposits & Material Preparation: While standard service bookings generally do not require a deposit, specialized services requiring advance material ordering or custom preparation—such as Paint Protection Film (PPF), Vinyl Wrap, or custom parts procurement—require a non-refundable deposit at booking. This deposit is applied directly toward your final invoice.
• Prepaid Detailing Packages: All prepaid detailing packages, multi-session service bundles, and package credits are strictly non-refundable once purchased. Unused sessions or remaining balances cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or refunded under any circumstances, including if a client chooses to discontinue service.
• Rescheduling: Cancellations or date modifications must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance to allow rescheduling without forfeiting your deposit or package credit.
• Vehicle Collection & Storage Fees: Vehicles must be collected within 48 hours of receiving our service completion notification. Vehicles left beyond this 48-hour window without prior arrangement may incur a facility storage fee of $50 CAD per day.
• Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to decline or terminate service to anyone for non-payment, hazardous vehicle conditions, or unreasonable conduct at our sole discretion.
2. ESTIMATES, ADVICE & WORK AUTHORIZATION
• Service Estimates: Quotes provided are approximations based on initial visual inspections. Concealed paint defects, prior improper bodywork, or severe contamination discovered during deep cleaning may require adjustments to the scope of work.
• Professional Advice & Recommendations: Recommendations provided by our team regarding paint correction levels, film coverage, or coating longevity are based on professional experience and visual assessment. These do not constitute an absolute guarantee against natural wear or physical clear coat limitations.
• Work & Operation Authorization: You authorize OCG Detailing to perform agreed services and operate the vehicle for quality inspection, road testing, or facility positioning.
• Final Payment: Full payment is due upon completion of work prior to the release of the vehicle.
3. CLIENT OBLIGATIONS & VEHICLE PREPARATION
• Duty to Disclose: Clients must disclose any known paint defects, repainted panels, loose trim, clear coat failure, or structural weaknesses prior to service. OCG Detailing is not liable for damage arising from undisclosed pre-existing flaws.
• Valuables & Personal Belongings: Please remove all personal items and valuables prior to vehicle drop-off. OCG Detailing is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or missing belongings left inside the vehicle.
• Child Safety Seats: Clients are encouraged to remove child safety seats prior to drop-off. If a child seat is left inside and no specific instructions are provided, our team will uninstall it to allow thorough cleaning. Under no circumstances will OCG Detailing reinstall or secure child safety seats upon completion; the client assumes sole responsibility for verifying and executing proper reinstallation.
• Spare Keys: Clients are advised to maintain a spare key. OCG Detailing is not liable for incidental vehicle lockouts caused by automatic locking systems.
• Illegal Items: Any illegal substances or items discovered inside a vehicle will result in immediate service termination, vehicle securing, and notification of relevant authorities.
4. PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF) & VINYL WRAP CONDITIONS & WARRANTIES
• Curing Period: PPF and Vinyl Wrap installations utilize fluid slip solutions or heat molding techniques. Minor moisture pockets, water bubbles, or slight haziness are a standard part of the setting process and will naturally evaporate or settle over 2 to 3 weeks depending on weather conditions.
• Facility Tolerances: While we maintain high standards of cleanliness in our work bays, a 100% dust-free application is physically impossible. Minor airborne dust specks, stretch marks, or slight dimples fall within accepted high-end industry standards.
• Non-OEM Paint & Repainted Panels: If your vehicle features aftermarket paint, non-OEM clear coat, or prior body shop repairs, there is an inherent risk of paint lifting during film installation or future removal. OCG Detailing assumes no liability for paint failure on non-factory paintwork.
• Warranty Handling & Terms:
- Manufacturer Warranty Handling: OCG Detailing will directly facilitate, manage, and process official warranty claims with the film/wrap manufacturer on your behalf.
- Workmanship Warranty: OCG Detailing provides a 90-day installation warranty against edge lifting caused by installation flaws. This does not cover lifting caused by high-pressure washers held too close to film/wrap edges.
• Film/Wrap Removal: Should you request the removal of existing PPF or Vinyl Wrap, there is a risk of underlying clear coat peeling—especially on repainted or exotic bodywork. Any repainting costs incurred are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
5. PAINT CORRECTION & DETAILING LIMITATIONS
• Clear Coat Preservation: Our primary objective is preserving the structural integrity of your vehicle’s factory clear coat. Severe scratches or heavy etching exceeding safe depth thresholds will not be fully eliminated to avoid clear coat strike-through.
• Prior Detailing Damage: We are not responsible for thin paint, strike-throughs, or clear coat failure resulting from prior aggressive machine polishing or third-party body shop repairs.
6. WORKSHOP SAFETY & RECORDING DEVICES
• Service Bay Exclusion Zone: For client safety, non-staff members are strictly prohibited from entering active service bays, detailing stalls, or wash bays. High-pressure equipment, chemical solutions, and wet floors present hazard risks. Clients must remain within our dedicated reception area.
• Recording Devices & Dash Cams: To protect staff privacy and proprietary workshop techniques, all interior recording devices and dash cams must be disconnected while the vehicle is in our facility. If a recording device remains connected upon vehicle handoff, OCG Detailing personnel will disconnect or unplug the power source.
7. WINDOW TINTING REGULATIONS & DISCLAIMER
• Legal Compliance: Under Ontario law, window tinting on the front windshield is strictly prohibited, while front side window darkness is legally restricted (typically requiring ~30%–35% or lighter VLT depending on vehicle type). Rear side and rear windshield windows have no shade restrictions.
• Client Liability: Clients requesting tint darkness exceeding legal Ontario limits assume full responsibility for any resulting traffic citations, vehicle inspection failures, or legal fines. OCG Detailing is not liable for associated costs, and replacement of non-compliant tint is at the client’s sole expense.
8. INSURANCE & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
• Primary Insurance: Primary insurance coverage for fire, theft, flood, vandalism, or natural disasters while the vehicle is stored in our facility remains the responsibility of the vehicle owner’s insurance policy.
• Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, OCG Detailing’s entire financial liability for any claim arising from our services shall be strictly limited to the total monetary amount paid by the client for the specific service rendered.
9. MEDIA RIGHTS, REVIEWS & WEBSITE USE
• Vehicle Media: As outlined in our Privacy Policy, we reserve the right to photograph and film vehicles in our workshop for portfolio and promotional use. License plates will be obscured. Clients may opt out verbally at drop-off.
• Customer Reviews: Public reviews posted on third-party platforms (e.g., Google Reviews) may be reproduced and displayed on our website or marketing materials at our discretion.
• Website Content: All website content, photography, and brand assets are the property of OCG Detailing. Pricing and service information on our Site are subject to change without notice.
10. GOVERNING LAW & SEVERABILITY
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining clauses.
• Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
